They don't call Washington the evergreen state for nothing! I went bike riding yesterday out by a town called Orting. There was a smaller town called Mcmillan that I was riding through. I brought my camera and took these shots of the area. It is a pretty area and lots of little farms selling fresh produce and flowers and xmas trees in the winter. Or in the fall it will be filled with pumpkin patches. I rode the trail for 12 miles as that's the distance I will need to ride in the tri race. It is pretty flat land so I will have to find another spot to practice some hill climbing as I know Seattle will have some of those. I have been biking quite a bit and am going to increase my number of rides per week.
What I do hate is worrying about which trail to do. There is a really nice one about 6 miles from this area but it goes into lots of wooded areas and don't feel totally safe riding by myself. I will go there when my husband and son can go too. There are some serious bikers out there with all the racing clothes and racing bikes, like my hubby has. And, then there are some regular ole folks like me, young and old. Now, that we have been having days in the 60-70's it is nice to get outside but hard to get into the gym. I did go to the gym today and got back into weight lifting and did some walking outside so that felt good.
Share where you go in your daily life if you have the time. I'm interested to see where you live, what the area looks like!
Have a good memorial day weekend if you celebrate it and thanks for commenting. It helps.

Congrats on getting to the gym and walking! That is great!
TWELVE miles! You are doing great!! Right now I am winded at one mile!! You Go Girl!!
Wow, that is SO pretty, that would even entice ME to ride a bike. Well, actually no, it probably wouldn't. LOL.
My daily life is boring - Work M to F, house cleaning Sat and rest day on Sunday - pffft - I need to get a life. I will take some photos this weekend for you. They won't be anywhere near as nice as yours though.
What a nice view. If I think of it I will take some pictures of my area, but it doesn't look as peaceful as your area.
Good job with the bike rides. Glad to hear you are getting out!
Ohh I havent been out for a bike ride for quite a while... we are heading for winter now..so struggling to get out for a walk... have been caught in the rain twice in two weeks now...

I just used my digital camera. I put it on the movie button, and set the camera on a dresser. Then I upload the file to Youtube.com
Not bad for a digital camera eh? :D
hey Angel, what divine scenery, wow i wish i had visited. maybe next trip.
great to see you facing the figures, it is so tough isn't it? i did it myself recently as you know so don't worry about it.
we are about the same now, you're 2-3 pounds lighter so lets try and egg each other on. i know you suggested this once before...
i have had the week off and will be starting back on track on Monday, get back in the saddle, that sort of thing. it's just been a crazy time of late! losing is the last thing on my mind. keeping my sanity is far more important.
you take care
x
Looks like you have some beautiful places to go riding. 12 miles is a good haul. I know your training will pay off.
Good on you for getting into the gym. It can be a hard thing to do when the weather is nice!!
Whoa...that is so beautiful!!!! My daily life?? You know all about it... ;~)
The trails look beautiful!! WOW!
Sounds like you are getting in TONS of exercise...good for you!! I find it hard to get in to do my weights, since the weather has been so nice lately, I have been skipping weights in order to go power walking outside...but I know eventually I'll have to get back to them!
